The FiBo click in platform requires the base with the Clip in Ridges. The regular base at the time I write this does not have the notches in the print. You have a couple of options for securing your box during print. One is to leave it on the rail shelf system. This is a great option and with the bottom pull off the spool very secure.
With the added option of a feed off the top of the spool through a second port in the lid, I recommend the base WITH the click in Ridges. If your spool jams you risk pulling the box forward. The ridges add the option of clipping your deck into the platform. This can be placed on a flat surface or whatever location you want. Keep in mind that FIBO boxes raise the center of gravity for the spool which could create vibration on your top rail if mounted there.
• I recommend Platform V2 if you can print it because it can sit on a flat surface with no effort
Platform
• Platfform V2 is 249.35cm but will fit diagonal on its side.
• There is a platform V1 at 234.5mm long with the spring under the plate. This version will take some thinking if you want to use it on a flat surface. The the bottom spring stop is about 18mm in height... so the back of the deck is 18mm higher on a flat surface with no leveling.
• Both platforms come with a center pivot hole, two forward set pin holes, a forward and rear bolt hole set.
Table Top Bracket
Maybe you don't want a platform but you want to clip your box into a position on an existing surface. Now you can print one or more Table Top Brackets. They will print at about 90mm wide for both the front and back bracket. The BASE with the NOTCHES on the bottom is required to use the latch system. Note the latch is the Platform V2 bracket design looks the same, but the bottom of the Table Top latch is shorter so it does not hit the surface. Make sure you print the right one.
Spring for platform
Any spring will do that is close in length and diameter. I have been using one 23cm long with 9.5mm OD and 8mm ID. The wire is approximately .8mm. So that is 1” long, 3/8” OD , 5/16 ID with a wire around 1/32”.
