Doing a large deck and needed a fast and consistent way to pre-drill 250 pickets. Designed for 1.5" nominal picket size (internal measurement is 1.460 which worked for my use). The height is 3.5" based on a 2x4 rail attachment so it is centered up and down off of that. Two (or three I guess) options....1 center or two off center depending on your wants. Bushing hole is based off a .25" od, .144 id, .75 long aluminum bushing (very common Hillman part at most hardware stores) and a #23 drill bit. You will be able to drill through the entire picket with this design with adequate chuck engagement of the drill bit. The bottom is designed for a 45* bottom angle with a single hole do to the angle clearances. The bushings were a little tight (some filing will probably have to be done) but pressed in well...
