The Fan Buddy helps you during maintenance of your 3D Printer. If you're clearing a jam from your MP Select Mini, the first step is often removing the fan, which will either dangle there or sit on your print bed, depending how high the gantry is at that moment. Perhaps the torsion clips will get misplaced during your work? And will you will have a hard time finding those pesky T-nuts?
The Fan Buddy to the rescue. Slide your print-head over to the right, and clip this helpful fan-holder over the gantry. Near the right-most edge is best, as it's more stable there. When you've unclipped the fan, you can sit it securely into this little holder and not worry about the fan wires getting abraded or fatigued while you work on the nozzle.
The top of the Fan Buddy has a bit of a cup where you can place your spring-clips and T-Nuts too, so you know right where they are when you're ready to put the fan back in place.
If you're working on your hot-end while it's powered up, the fan may be spinning as you do your clean-out or adjustments. The Fan Buddy has holes to allow airflow around the fan so it's not pushing air into a brick wall (and drawing more current) as you're doing your work. Less risk of fouling the fan blades or losing bits and pieces too.
Let's face it - you're going to have that thing apart again before you know it. May as well have the Fan Buddy there to keep things under control.
