I Build in the Ramps 1.4 and it works OK for me. I use the DRV8825 without a board cooler at Vref 0.5V (Resistor 0.1Ohm)
The Uploaded Repetier comes with configuration for reprap discount smart controller and the Eeprom files my finished config. This can be added over Repetier Host.
If i become the firmware i upload the Marlin for a MKS Sbase 1.3 Board.
UPDATE:
V3:
Little Changes for better Airflow and print
Mount it with the 3mm washer at the carrierconnection (not at the effector) of the arms to bring they a little bit closer.
Partcoolerring moved a little bit to bottom again
XY Resize for printing is 102,5% in my configuration with this effector
Now is the V2 online. Changed:
Part cooler ring is moved 1mm to bottom.
Supportfree design of the part cooler ring (effector can be print without support)
Center distance of the arm bearing is now 47mm (old one is 52mm) and i hope that the
effector moves more horizontal for better print. The 47mm distance was the arm distance
of the carrier. For correct xy-dimensions i expand the parts in S3D because i can not
change the firmware.
Changed part/parameter and mount for V2:
for the xy-dimensions i scale the object to 102,5% (do not change the 100% z-dimension)
i changed the arm bearing screws to M3x20 and use one (3.2mm with 0.5mm thickness)
washer at the effector side for the best arm center distance
If any one has the original firmware and a way to upload it pleas
send me a massage and i will upload it here.
This effector is a replacement for the original one.
It is designed to use all original Parts without the hotend.
I use the newer design of e3D V6 Clone with full Metal heatbreak and the cuted heatblock for better heater fit.
The heatblock has to be saved with capton tabe but the part coller fits strong for a small design. I printed it with PETG on the Delta without partcooler and small support for the part cooler ring.
The part cooler is allready activated in the original firmware, look for the plus and minus connector in the plug but it is changend across from the e3D Fan.
For the hotend i use the original cooler of the EZT.
For the part cooler i use one of the e3D Clone Fan (this one has a lower flow)
Assembling is very easy. Build out the original hotend, i cut the cable near the effector (on the picture you can see the test system without the final cable connector) ATTENTION you can not solder the heater cable, i press it with a end sleeve to the other one), unscrew the effector.
Screw the new effector to the arms with te same screwsetup and screws in the printed bores, use M3 or the original screws for the fans, pull the e3D V6 from the bottom intothe center hole up to the top to mount it with the clamp`s, plg the cables in and print.
this is a first design which i made in 1,5 hours, but i think it is good to use. For Simplify3D is a Factory file in download, but i used the e3D V6 Clone with 0.3mm Nozzle
Did you problems with the EZT Delta because the printer loss steps at high speed than bore the holes at the three arm carrier bigger. My printer lost steps at the first longer prints because the wheels at the carrier are to close and the stepper heats up. I bore the holes for the wheel screws on the side with the two wheels 1mm bigger and all was nice.
"Next problem, at first test i can controll part cooler, after some prints they allways move on full speed. It works good for Prints but not perfekt. I want to buy a Anet a8 Board and test it with Repetier because i thing it has enough power and is a easyer way to change the firmware as build in the complete ramps 1.4 or ramps-fd."
I am testing some ways to read out the firmware and found no way. It is to much time for me to find a way to bring it to USB talking. Next thing is the option for the Controller Chip STM32 Famaly to set a lock bit to prevent the firmware befor download. it is a very small chance that they dont set ist.
I want to bulid in my Ramps 1.4 Electronik for test
