With the Google sheet open, from the File menu there is the option to make a copy in your GDrive. This will give you your own, editable copy
This is a Google Sheet to assist in choosing layer heights and print speeds based on nozzle size and a maximum flow rate.
Hot end/extruder combos can only flow so much material before they start skipping/etc. I ran into this with my Flashforge Creator Pro when trying to extrude thick layers @ 90mmps with a .6mm nozzle.
I made this Sheet to assist in figuring out:
1)For a given nozzle size and layer height, what is the max feedrate I can run while staying withing the set flowrate?
2)For a given nozzle size and feedrate, what is the max layer height I can run while staying within the set flowrate?
There are 3 sections in it:
1)Quick flowrate calc - plug in your nozzle size, layer height, and print speed to get the flowrate.
2)Solve for print speed - plug in your target flowrate. Max print speed will be calculated based on desired nozzle sizes and layer heights. Change these as you see fit.
3)Solve for layer height - plug in your target flowrate. Max layer height will be calculated based on desired nozzle sizes and feedrates. (Note max layer height is limited to 1.5x layer width).
Scour the internet to figure out what the generally accepted flowrate is for your hot end, or experiment. I've setted around 12 mm3/sec for my Creator Pro with all metal Microswiss hotend.
