OOOPS, doesn't work yet......
Need to move a bit the entry of the filament....
I have seen a few other versions of this problem here on thingiverse so better try those...
I´ll be changing this one a bit later to exactly fit my probe and gear
The drive gear in the extruder in the Prusa i3 Mk2 that drives the filament into the hot end has a outside diameter of 8mm.
I'm building a Mk2S Clone, basically following Tom Salander's build of his Dolly.https://toms3d.org/2017/02/23/building-cheapest-possible-prusa-i3-mk2/
The alternative for this drive gear as suggested by Tom has actually 9mm outside diameter.(MK8). When assembling the extruder the drive gear does´t fit. (as you can see in his live stream)
This is a tinkercadded version of the extruder body that basically has 0.5 mm taken away so that the Chinese alternative fits.
UPDATE:
For the Finglai probe to fit better in the Mk2S Probe holder, I also reduced the diameter a bit to 7.7mm. The Chinese probe seems a bit thinner than the P.I.N.D.A.
I also thinned the cable hook a bit so that the longer probe fit along side.
