Self designed Lacie external hard drive cooler. Designed with TinkerCad and utilizes two 60mm case fans with metal guards. Powered by a 12V .1A DC adapter. Bolted together with hardware from the local hardware store.
Designed to use the following hardware:
Top case (with "LACIE COOLER" on it): (8) 1" 6/32 bolts
Rear fans: (8) 2" 8/32 bolts
Rear electronic door: (4) 1/2" 4/32 bolts
I also included in the files a skin that attaches to the bottom once it's printed. I made it because I experienced some difficulty removing the support from the electronic door recession (where all the wires are housed) and subsequently marred the surface a little. However, this is of course resolved by attaching the bottom skin to the model. I used a thin layer of JB Kwik and a vice grip for 20 minutes and it was fine. Please keep in mind though--> if you use the included electronic door and elect to NOT use the bottom skin, the electronic door will need to be resized; I designed the door height to include the added thickness the skin created.
Additionally, I made a small skin for the opening to the adapter (check out the photos for a better explanation of that and see it used in practice).
The proportions fit a 4 TB Lacie External Hard drive. But please feel free to use and resize for your own purpose! :)
