I have recently purchased a portable air conditioner for my mom's apartment. You all know that portable air conditioners have exhaust hoses to transfer the heat generated by air conditioner to the outside. The idea was to mount exhaust hose through the balcony door plastic blank window (specifically crafted for these purposes) on a summer time and change it over to original one with the advent of September. The problem was the original exhaust hose adapter couldn't be securely fixed on the blank window because of poor design of hose adapter clamps. You could easily detach the adapter by hand or if you open a balcony door it could easily fall out. So I took precise measurements from the hose adapter and designed my own mount system to secure that hose adapter in place. It consists of several parts:
Spacer, 2mm thickness, acrylic glass - 1pc.
Lock clamp, 1mm thickness, steel - 2pcs.
Outdoor air grille, 3mm thickness, acrylic glass - 1pc.
All parts are manufactured using laser cutting machine. Once you craft the parts, you'll have to cut the oval hole through plastic blank window on your door repeating oval contour of your hose adapter, mount spacer and hose adapter in place and outline drilling holes. Then all you need to do is to drill these holes and assemble hose adapter with spacer and mounting plates (and air grille on the other side) by tightening it down with furniture joint connectors (Bolt & Cap Nut Kit).
Now your exhaust pipe adapter is securely fixed!
