Evinrude COIL LOCATING RING
For all magneto outboards through 40 H.P. Accurate location of the magneto coils can be speeded considerably by using this locating ring. It is machined to fit precisely on the coil locating bosses so you only have to press the coil heels against the ring and tighten the mounting screws. You'll find this tool so con-venient and easy to use you'll wonder how you ever got along without it. Made of cast iron for a long, warp free life.
Push the coils all the way in, and then put the locating ring on. Push the coils out until they are touching the ring. If you push the coils out too far you may warp the ring and be putting the coils in the incorrect location.
