I've always very much liked the Estes Saros rocket for it's sleek scale like appearance. It was available from 1971 - 1978 and is hard to come by.
The kit came with a plastic fin unit, plastic adapter/transition and a plastic nose cone.
A fellow owner of the original Saros was nice enough to send me the dimensions of the parts.
In addition to the original fin unit "Estes_Saros_4Fin_Unit" two modified variants are available:
"Estes_Saros_4Fin_Unit_Plate" has the "Foil press on" integrated to the fin unit.
"Estes_Saros_3Fin_Unit_Plate" is a 3 fin version with rivets and holding plates.
I've added some pictures to aid in construction. I recommend not to glue the fin unit in place. Friction fit should be sufficient to hold the everything in place. This is so you can swap the fin unit if needed.

I was able to come across original parts. I've made some changes to the nose cone and the fin units. All parts are now as close to the original as possible.
