This is an enclosure I built for this sensor: https://home-assistant.io/blog/2015/10/11/measure-temperature-with-esp8266-and-report-to-mqtt/. It houses an ESP8266 board, a DHT22 sensor, and a battery https://www.adafruit.com/product/2011. The battery is probably unnecessary for most applications since WiFi is pretty thirsty and will drain it in a few days, but it was necessary for my application. The enclosure has standoffs for a Feather Huzzah, but I am pretty sure it will fit a Node MCU as well. There is a port on the side for the USB power supply. Whereas wanted to make this fairly low profile, I also left some room for extra wires and or sensors.
