I remixed the case to fit the white pcb ESP-F DevKit (NodeMCU ESP-12F) from Banggood. It's about the size of an Arduino Nano and is larger than the Wemos D1 Mini that they use in the original kit. I use a 2.4" TFT off eBay and the 12F from Banggood since they are cheap.
The kits I have received both had the header pins presoldered from factory, so I opted to make a case that will fit them and give room to fit wires cleanly. I also included an option for people who get the kits without headers and don't want all that extra case height. I believe the case stands well, and looks fine with the extra height.
It's still a work in progress, and my prototype has been printed I am soldering it up tonight. I will be making one out of Wood PLA as well to see how it works. I will update the description later with the code and instructions; follow the original creators description for now.
Update: 11/4/19 We have been running this setup for a few months with no issues! Running great with the ESP8266 or ESP-12F from Banggood and the display.

2.4" TFT (Must be SPI with pins like this one, otherwise you may have wrong type of screen): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32871767717.html
