Side mount enclosure for an ender 3.
Features:
Mounts onto e3 base extrusion (with the ExtrusionNut and Bolts).
Mounting holes match e3 factory board (or factory board replacement, like an e3 Mini)
Includes e3 mounting holes for a buck converter.
Lid designed for 80x80 fan mount.
Extremely open design for good cooling.
Many M3 mounting holes in the floor for attaching cable grips, etc..
Cable grip with big holes for zip-ties or whatever you want to secure you cables with.
Easy open lid: Two large thumb screws.
You will need:
4-5 M3 (4-10mm long) screws to attach the floor to the sides.
M3 screws (4-7mm long) screws to attach the cable grip to the floor.
Cable ideas....I have a direct drive, and the extruder cable was not quite long enough to work with this case, when the case was mounted on the side of the printer.
Why would you want this?
You want to attach a larger, quieter PC fan (I used an Arctic F8 Silent 80mm)
You want a case that is easy to get to (not hidden under the bed)
You want room for a buck converter (which I use to step down my hot end fan to 12V, making it nearly silent).
