This is a mount for the scraper that comes with the Ender 3 and Ender 3 Pro. It will also work with any other Creality printer that uses the same spool mounting parts. I wanted something more refined and custom than I have seen available, so I made this one to snap into place and align with the two small cutouts on the Ender spool mount. The scraper is easy to place in the mount directly from the front. No need to hunt for a slot from the top on this one.
Print in the orientation shown in the first image. I used the default PLA settings, with default 51deg supports everywhere, skirt bed adhesion and 80% infill. The support on the inside of the tube is a little tricky to remove, but once you have cracked all the contact surfaces loose, it will pry out in one piece.
Before snapping the scrapper holder in place, rotate the Ender spool mount tube until the two open slots are horizontal. You may have to loosen the nut if it has been tightened a lot. The tabs on the scrapper holder will align with these two tabs on the spool tube.
As a side note, the scraper that comes with the Creality printers does not work very well due to its excessive thickness. It can be made much better by using a medium to coarse knife sharpening stone to sharpen one side only. the overall thickness of the stock blade is around ,025". Sharpen one side evenly ( 15-20 degree angle) until the thickness at the very tip is around .010-.012". Then round the corners slightly and smooth all edges, to keep from scratching the surface of your print bed. Your scraper will now be worthy of keeping around in your new scraper mount.
