This Ender 3 control box cover was my change to another design I printed. I wanted to be able to add a Pin 27 / EZOut board without making it a tight fit or bending pins and wires. There is a raised area over the location of the Pin 27 / EZOut board location to avoid any interference with the cover. With this part, there is not need to bend pins or cables to aid in or force safe fit. This part also aids in the longevity of your boards, connections, and cables by not placing any additional stress on them.
The cooling fan location has been raised and moved closer towards the back of the control board for better cooling of all heat sinks and for a Noctua 40x40x20mm fan upgrade, that will not touch the Pin 27 / EZOut board upgrade. This fan is quieter and allows for better cooling. The fan mount holes are meant to be used with regular pc fan screws or Noctua rubber fasteners. The part has enought room so that the build plate level screws and the Z axis rollers do do not hit it. See pictures for clearance.
Exhaust slots have been added to aid in a more uniform airflow. This is not scientifically proven, by me or anyone, on this particular part, but air can be felt coming out of the slots.
Part is designed thin, therefore it is slight flexible. Part is not meant to be bent. Look at attached pictures below for recommended print orientation and added support placement.
This part was printed on my CR-10 while I waited for parts to make my Ender 3 operational again.
This part can be printed on the Ender 3. Filament choice does not matter as long as you have your settings dialed in well with whatever filament you are using; there should be no issues.
