A big spool of filament wont fit on the original piece beacuse of its width? - Well this guy solved the problem https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4014054.
I decided to go with a full thread and square shaped nuts for a snuggle fit, made it shorter a bit.
Print 2 nuts, screw and you are ready to go!
