Elsbridge is a small town and station on Thomas' Branch Line located in the Els Valley, with a population of 4,500. The nearby River Els flows underneath the Elsbridge Viaduct and enters the Sudrian Sea at Knapford. Elsbridge serves a junction station on Thomas' branch line. In the first four series of Thomas & Friends, Elsbridge served as a junction between Thomas' branch line and The Main Line, as shown in concept art. On the 2014 map by Railway Consultant Sam Wilkinson, however, it is depicted as a junction between Thomas' branch line and The Loop Line. The station has a large overhead footbridge, four platforms, with a canopy covering two, and five through tracks. The station has a small yard, which has an engine shed and a carriage shed. As shown in S2E19 Daisy, the first passenger journey of Thomas' branch line starts here. According to Series 1 concept art, the appearance of Elsbridge was referenced from two illustrations of Knapford Junction from Thomas and the Guard.
