There are some great original Elite models around. My interest was to print all the originals from my childhood Elite (the BBC) version so I could get a feel for the relative sizes of the ships after all these years. Unfortunately my printer has been out of commission for many months so I've decided to publish this without an example print.
The models were taken from an archive.org snapshot of the WitchSpace site (http://web.archive.org/web/2/http://mackayj.doosh.net/eliteships.html) where someone had converted original BBC files into VRML.
They were imported, repaired and converted to STL and arranged on a 200x200 build plate at the maximum size possible. Of course you may scale as you see fit.
As an afterthought, I've included all the individual ships (again, imported, repaired, exported as STL) in case anyone wants one of them.
Note that the "lines" on the Asp Mk II, Cobra Mk I, Cobra Mk III and Krait were lost in the conversion.
