For the E3D-Toolchanger, I wanted spool-hangers, that allow the spools to get changed wherever the bed is. Maybe by lifting the hanger itself out of its mount or so.
Requirements were:
Spoolhanger should be mounted in or fitting existing mounting holes in the sidepanels (4mm/40mm apart vertically)
designed with 3d-printing in mind (eg. chamfered bottomside, no excessive supports needed, no massive material waste etc)
filament spools can be exchanged regardless of the bed position
handling is convenient
at least try to let it look good
And this is what Christian Reil (CR-3D) after talking to me came up with!
Update:
2020-08-17: new mounting holes are 2.5mm, able to self-thread with existing mounting screws for the series-model.
