Bike light mount that doubles as a GoPro mount for a 22mm diameter handle bar!
Story
I've meant to do this for a really long time (took me 100orso broken rubberbands to piss me off enough to finally design this :)
Simply put this is durable bike light mount with quick release for a bike handle bar of about 22mm diameter. The quick release itself is a bootstrap from a small miniski but any similar (with strap width < 20mm) can be used. I have also added a "security / pull down helper (Anti-theft block)" at the end of the strap. This is to help pull it tighter with gloves on and stopping some clown stealing your strap so easily.
To go bit further, I've included alternative design of the pull down helper that has magnet holes added for a 5mm cube magnets. This is for securing it to a metal surface during the ride and not making it fly around and banging on stuff while you ride. (This is optional..I don't know how much of a problem this is going to be but these worked like a charm)
Also added a gopro mount adapter for those action packed runs to the store.. or something :) and when done / dark, just swap the light back on.
Design goals were:
To make it work as intended! (#1 most of the time :)
To make it durable (small bangs wouldn't damage it in the bike shed).
To make it combatible with different sized torches.
To design it so that there are no extra appendices required on torches (sharp corners could eat thru pockets).
To design it to have simple quick release mechanism.
To design it to be small as possible.
To have it secured in place near permanently and not slipping around while driving -> nuts&bolts ftw.
If possible, make it compatible with gopro.
