There were several things I didn't like about the available adjustable limit switch mounts.
I wanted a mount that didn't require additional m2 screws. I wanted a large degree of adjustment, and I didn't want to have it held in place by grub screws. I also wanted it to be very sturdy and rigid.
So I took the best of what was available, redesigned, and combined.
First thing is the switch holder. I liked Austingeorge's holder (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:985799), but I didn't like the way it adjusted by sliding up and down. I wanted to use it with Goopyplastic's plunger/trigger (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:928008), so I redesigned that to align with Goopyplastic's trigger. I made it slimmer, and non-adjustable, so it screws into the existing holes with the existing m2 screws.
The problem I found with Goopyplastic's trigger, however, was that it was a bit too wobbly for me. I wanted it to be much more rigid.
So I redesigned for #6 screws rather than m3, and with 2 nuts. A captive nut at the top, and a nut at the bottom. I also drilled 2 holes so that the mount could be absolutely rigid.
The 2 nuts made the screw completely solid and immovable, as did screwing the holder into place.
requires 2 #6 nuts, and a #6 screw. Your choice of length. I used a 2inch 6-32 screw, just because that's what I already had available. The holes to mount to the frame are m3 (I know bad design to mix metric/US, but such was how I wanted it to be). You don't have to drill the frame, but it's much more rigid that way. The nuts might be a tight fit... by screwing in the screw, and tightening all the way, it'll create a very snug fit for the bottom nut. For the captive nut, I just forced it in by pushing down onto a table.
