The shield generator is an item from the Dune universe that creates a personal forcefield around the wearer in order to protect them from harm. The widespread use of the invention is a crucial factor in Dune's unique aesthetic, as it forces combatants to utilize fencing and knife-combat rather than typical sci-fi laser guns or projectile weapons.

I have also rendered a belt-fastener which slips over the two holes that extend throughout the main generator piece, though I have also included a version of the generator without the holes for any purists out there.
