History :
Duesenberg is an American car manufacturer of the early twentieth century.
A brand was founded in 1913 by brothers Frederick (Fred) and August (Augie) Duesenberg, with the aim of building racing cars.
As a result of financial difficulties, the company was bought in 1926 by Errett Lobban Cord (in), which makes it the prestige brand of its automobile group.
Under his leadership, Duesenberg created his masterpiece, the Duesenberg J, which premiered at the 1929 New York show and was quickly chosen by Hollywood stars like Clark Gable and Gary Cooper.
Thanks to this model, and its derivative Duenseberg SJ compressor, Duesenberg acquires in the United States a reputation comparable to that of Bugatti in Europe.
The Duesenberg J, JN, SJ and SSJ are models of cars produced 481 copies between 1929 and 1937, and declined under multiple bodies.
