Dual lighted 40mm Objective Markers.
UPDATE: replaced the version 2 core and baseplate with version 3. The core now has a much bigger surface to glue the battery holder in place. The baseplate now has a design that, when glued correctly to the base, will "lock" the battery holder in place. Please note that the PDF does not yet reflect these changes.
Update: for some reason Thingiverse only shows images of 2 STL's, but everything is present in the files section.
Update: corrected some mistakes in the PDF.
Playing Infinity I always figured it would be very cool to have lighted objective markers.
So I took it upon myself to design and actually make one... or several.
So it's an objective marker with a "key". Insert the key on the "A" side and the marker lights up with color 1, insert it on the "B" side and it lights up with color 2.
Please note that prior to this I had hardly ANY soldering experience, and only high-school equivalent of electronics knowledge (basically: I know Ohm's law and the difference between a parallel and serial circuit).
There's a PDF in the files section which tells you what electronic components you need and how to assemble this. It 's not hard, but it's not a walk in the park either.
I printed everything on 0.1 setting except for the top_outer, which came out much better on 0.2mm.
And it doesn't really matter what color you use, as long as you print the top_inner piece in white. that brings out the colors best.
