The original TAZ 5 fan duct cools only one side of your print. This is a problem with small parts where one side is in the shadow of the airstream due to the nozzle, resulting in a molten look.
There are a few designs out there to resolve that problem, most of them using a second fan with a mirrored second fan duct.
I wanted to have something more easy, without the need of a second fan, splicing the fan wires together, source heat inserts etc. The original fan is more than enough for two outlets, the flow is acutaly reversing with the original duct at 100%.
So I ended up with this design using the original duct design, with a connecting air pipe between the two ducts.
Works perfect as you can see in the example print which was printed with PLA and the exact same settings. The upper one is molten at one edge, the lower one isn't.
