These are poseable turrets for use with my dropship model(s). There's a variety of bases and weapons so that you can mix and match them to arm your dropship any way you'd like. Pictured above are mech-scale turrets printed in resin and posed on an FDM mech-scale dropshop model.
The available turrets include lasers, PPCs, autocannons, gauss rifles, LRMs, and SRMs. I have also included a radome/sensor turret and a blank turret base in case you want a turret mount to be occupied but don't want to add a weapon.
Please consider leaving a tip if you like these models. If it doesn't work through Thingiverse (sometimes it glitches), you can tip directly through paypal.me/rainingfire416
Notable features:
-They are 100% poseable! You can rotate the turrets in their dropship mounts and you can aim the weapons up/down in their slot. Once you find a position you like, you can glue them in place to ensure you never lose them.
-Each weapon turret includes a camera/sensor ball which would be used both for targeting and also for surveillance when not in combat.
-Sized semi-realistically, which matches the details of my other models.
-Available in both mech-scale and map-scale.
Instructions:
-All model units are in mm.
-Decide what weapons you want to outfit your ship with.
-Print the weapons and corresponding bases in the scale you choose. Remember to rescale if you scaled your dropship up or down by a certain percentage.
-A double weapon (with two barrels) requires the double base since it has a larger cutout for the weapon mount.
-The LRM and SRM files are built into the turrets, so they don't need bases.
-I highly recommend printing these turrets in resin for both map and mech scales. The details will show up much nicer.
-I recommend dry-fitting your prints to your dropship before painting, since you may need to file the hole/peg slightly to fit the turrets in.
Please post your makes here on Thingiverse and leave comments or feedback. I'd love to see other peoples' prints!
