This is a CNC drawing machine.
3MM Acrylic (Canvas is A3 size)
Use M3 bolts to assemble.
Nema17 engines
Bearings
Rods (I used very thin aluminium ones from Silvan)
Linear bearings (same size as the Rod)
And some way of controller the steppers. I use a 'CNC-shield' on top of an Arduino Uno running the latest and greatest software from https://github.com/grbl/grbl.
I send gcode using 'Universal G-code Sender' which is written in Java and run on all platforms. https://github.com/winder/Universal-G-Code-Sender
I have made a small 'CAM' program in Grasshopper that can convert curves into ARC movements in g-code. I will publish if anybody wants to have a look.
