The point of this thing is to function as a cool looking desk organizer. It was produced with Onshape for a STEM class as well as for a Student Design Challenge. A large issue that I came up against during the modeling of the organizer was the fact that I was still VERY new to the Onshape software and had no previous experience prior to using it in class. If I could redesign this, I would probably do the tail again. Assuming that I would have more experience and knowledge under my belt, I would probably also make a clothespin-like jaw for the dragon so that it could hold a sticky note and possibly change the tail completely so that it could hold a phone. 3D printing would help to strengthen my design because it is like nothing that I've seen in Staples or on Amazon. You can't buy a cool, student-made, 3D printable, dragon desk organizer anywhere else now, can you? Because it can only really be 3D printed, it gives the organizer a sense of uniqueness and originality.
On the back of the dragon's neck there are spots to hold USBs and on its back there are spots for pencils and pens. The little tray next to the dragon I made for paperclips, but you can probably use it for other things too. If you really wanted to, I guess you could droop your earbuds over the dragon's horns as well.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE
Don't forget to name your dragon desk organizer after it's printed! :)
