This is a holder for the compression straps of a Tasmanian Tiger Combat Pack MK II during the time they are not being in use. In my case: pretty much always :)
It also fits pretty much any side release buckle for 25mm straps I guess. Perhaps somebody will use it as a connector for "male to male".
Since I cannot add more than one source for the remix:
Basically it is a remix of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4076701 which I used for a while. It hides the connectors better and has a cleaner look than the original design by fns720. Thank you, ootes :)
For asthetic and functional reasons I always wanted a real MOLLE equipment piece but there was nothing better as this.
So I grabbed the STL of the remix by ootes, took the idea of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2871336, extended the clips (longer and deeper) and created something like Frankenstein did. It took my a few attempts for a good result.
The pictures show the white prototype since I did not print the final thing in black (or transparent maybe) yet.
What changed?
"Real" MOLLE-clips added which allow the piece to be very close to the backpack.
No need for paracord anymore
A little bit smaller since there is no need for holes anymore
Groove line for guidance which some buckles require (TT does)
SketchUp file is available. Add your logo or text to the front if you like.
(Update one day later:
I opened the SketchUp-File to add some text and saw that the file had some areas with no outer shell / skin. So I reuploaded all files and in addition my very own and personal final design with a seven. The new pictures with the black buckle show the final version with an individual text / number and some comparison between ootes' design, my prototype remix and the final design.
Hope, nobody wasted filament. But even my prints should have been with errors and turned out... okay. Strange thing. Should be fixed by now.)
