Don's 12.5' String Telescope

This is a string telescope design based on Dan Gray's 'string' concept but with 4 struts instead of 2 or 3. See the following link that compares 4-strut and 3-strut string telescope designs. The belt drive is designed to work with the SiTech controller. I've completed this telescope but have not had first light. The 'Flex Ring' reduces or eliminates the need for turnbuckles on the strings. This design includes Drive belts can be removed and the scope can be pushed around. The scopes goes about 20 degrees past zenith which works well when pushing the scope around.
