With the cover suitable for the DJI FPV googles, the RapidFire can be built-in.
Technical background
The video module can either be installed and soldered internally, or connected externally via cable.
Respectively. The video googles do not need to be damaged or altered for the conversion.
The DJI goggles have an external video port in the nearer the power plug.
The jack is labeled as headphone jack. The socket is a composite video connection.
The Rapidfire can be connected directly to video with the female connector. The required 5V voltage can be regulated by means of voltage transformers.
The video module is actively cooled in the googles. The OSD menu of video module works fine.
Depending on the filament and pressure settings, the shrinkage is taken into account.
Assemble
The Rapidfire or its button must remain operable. In particular, pressing the button should also be acoustically audible by clicking.
The connections of the video module must be between the display and the outer wall on the left. So if you see the display is butter press and the rapid fire starts not.
The part is thicker than the original cover. As cover screws M2x8mm can be used. Inside, an M3 thread with a M3x5mm or less screw is required for the bracket of the radio module.
To power a XT60 (Male to Female) adapter can be soldered. I provide the module with the battery of the googles. If i do not use the analog module, i can leave the adapter plug unconnected.
Have fun with the parts. Happy flying.
