I was looking for a electronics experiment kit for my 11 year old daughter and what I found was bad, a few parts and a few projects and no way of extending it. So I looked at my own collections of parts and thought about a way to turn it into experiment kit for my daughter. One solution was using a breadboard but that is far to difficult and so I created some wooden boards with switches, a bel, a buzzer, some lamps, led units etc, I used the little Dupont cables I also use for my breadboard projects to connect the parts and a battery pack with a switch on it, and it worked fine. After a short while there was need for soms diodes, resistors, capacitors, and transitors and that would not fit good on the little wooden boards. So I designed some 3D printed parts to hold the electronic parts and could hold the connectors. I created 2, 3 and 4 pin parts, I cut the short wires with the female connectors and solder them to the components and I glue the components and the connectors using a hot glue gun. I use little stickers on the boards that describe the component and the value, and with the transitors I also put little stickers indicating the EBC pins. I use velcro tape that I glue to the parts to fix them on a board, so my daughter can easily create electronic experiments. I have a (Dutch) page about this kit and som simple shema's.
