The DIAPASON 3D Printer is a fully printable DIY project printer based on 2020 series extrusions and 100% off the shelf components for those with no machining capacity at hand.
It's designed to be as rigid as possible in order to be able to print fast and accurate parts. It was driven by the needs of a robotics / animatronics project.

The individual .stl files here are mostly for display, please download the full ZIP file as you’ll need all of them anyway, and it keeps the folders right as referenced in the BOM.
In the BOM you’ll find the list of printable files, a list of hardware (screws, bolts etc.), and a list of “off the shelf“ components to complete your build, all with links to aliexpress or amazon listings (spoiler : amazon is expensive), so that you get the correct part. If you have a better / cheaper supplier or you don’t want to support my work by using the links, by any mean feel free, this is a self sourcing project.
What’s to come ?
In the next few days I’ll be posting some more detailed reference pictures, and try to provide as much build instructions as I can.
Then I’ll post all elements needed for Marlin configuration
and some setup / calibration protocol
(both mostly related to dual Z)
