While making mwu's 3D Printed Curta Calculator, I found that there wasn't really an easy way to paint the numbers onto the selector and result dials. I made these dials which had the numbers debossed into the surface. I then roughly painted the numbers with acrylic paint and wiped away any excess with a wet cloth, leaving behind the paint that is in the number groove. Make sure you sand the dials well before trying this, because the paint can easily get stuck in small print imperfections.
