The Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News are the largest newspapers in southeast Michigan. Currently, they share an Albert Kahn-designed building originally built in the early 20th century to house the News, but didn't become the Free Press' HQ until 1998 when they relocated from another Kahn-designed building, which was a few blocks up. Recently, both newspapers announced that they would soon be leaving the News Building, therefore I created this. The main element of this building is the stair-step style of the upper floors. Plus, it would be just east of the former site of the Free Press printing offices before the plant moved to the suburb of Sterling Heights in the 1970's. Credit is given to the people whose models I've used in this model.
