The base will be made by construction out of a strong wood. The plate on the front will made by manufacturing and will be laser engraved and cut showing the school logo and award name, then attached with glue. The spiral and STC gearing will be 3-D printed in manufacturing on the Stratasys printer with support material that dissolves. Finally both sections will be glued together.
