De Driekleur

De Driekleur is a historical building in Bandung. It was designed by Dutch architect Albert Aalbers in 1937 using Stream-lined Art Deco. The style is characterized by horisontal lines at the front view and curve line in the floor plan. It is similar to the style that applied in designing Savoy Homann Hotel by the same architect. This building was then renovated by a local architecture consultant, ARSI Enarcon, to accomodate new commercial activity. The new design still maintain the main building feature and considered as a succesful preservation of the style while revitalizing the function. #bandung #bandung_heritage #driekleur #tiga_warna
