This is a 1" long example of the mounting piece for puttting the darkbox panels (.05" thick Al sheet -- MMC part #: ) into the rails of 1" 80.20 profile. This allows
you to make a tight joint that will block any light from escapting. They are sized to make the aluminum sheet dimensons match the 80/20 profile dimensions with corner cubes,
for an example take a look at the darkbox on the Q1 laser. This means that using 12" and 24" 80/20 bars to make a rectangle, you can use a 12" x 24" aluminum sheet to
fill in the space. This means you can use stock sized stuff most of the time!
This is an example of the profile, extruded to 1" long. Simply modify the extrusionlength in SolidWorks to suit your needs! It works best when printed with the narrow
side on the print platform (slot up), and does not require supports for the overhang, making post-print clean-up easy.
