I found that a regular tea light didn't provide enough heat to boil water in a D2 mini live steam engine because the flame isn't as tall as the bees wax ones that are made for the D2 so I made a riser to bring the smaller flame of the regular tea light closer to the boiler. Now I can run my wee steam engine with common tealights from the supermarket.
It is 46mm OD, 39 ID and raises the candle 8mm. The tea lights I'm using are 25mm tall.
