"It is the dawn of the twenty-third century. Space has been good to the pioneering men and women of the Terran Commonwealth, but in spreading out among the stars mankind has become a rich target for the enigmatic and predatory Cygnan Coralate. Thrilling squadrons of fans from all over the globe since 2005, The Cygnus War is a story that looks at love, war, and what makes us human in the wake of an interstellar war with the Cygnan Coralate, a shadowy enemy bent on nothing less than the total and complete annihilation of humanity itself."
This pack of Meeples is inspired by "The Cygnus War," a sci-fi series written by me which you can find here: http://www.thunderune.com/2011/03/cygnus-war-omnibus-edition.html
I wanted to bring the main character, and especially her semi-atmospheric fighter-interceptor (Seindrive IV Blasterchild) to life in 3D.
The Blasterchild in this pack is kind of my own equivalent sci-fi terrain piece to the "Idol of Moloch" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3957853) used as part of the fantasy side of DutchMogul's Meepleverse. I designed it to be printed in two parts (the base and the fighter) so it could appear to be hovering, as the Blasterchild has no landing gear in the books, but rather simply keeps itself constantly aloft with a field produced by electromagnetic repulsion technology. I recommend printing the base in a color like the electric blue I used, or in a transparent color. Be careful fitting the two together, as the Blasterchild should be printed with supports, and even without bits of supports clinging to the inside of the holes underneath (after you've cleaned them out) the fit is very snug. It's basically made to be pressed together and never taken apart again, so the Blasterchild perpetually hovers, waiting for a pilot.
There are also three variations of Tessa Eisenherz, the main character of the books, included in this meeple pack. In one, she has the long hair of the first half of the series and is holding her flight helmet. In another, she has the short hair that she wears as a young woman and also maintains for the latter half of the series. The third meeple is her with short hair on a motorbike.
