Cut Sheet for another model in my collection - Custom sub enclosure for 2009 Mazda 3. Model has many layers so it's easy to poke around. Design tested and refined in WinISD for optimum performance with a JL Audio 500/1 amplifier. The box volume is 1.61 feet^3, tuned to 30.37 Hz. The max port velocity is 16 meters per sec. at 30 Hz, so absolutely no port noise or chuffing. Max SPL of 113.4 dB at 37.47 Hz. Max excursion is .621 inches at 22.89 Hz, perfect for the 10W6 V2. Box is designed to use the built in low pass and high pass filters of the 500/1 amplifier - Low Pass at 160 Hz (second order = -12 dB per octave) and High Pass set to 24 Hz (fourth order = -24 dB per octave). This provides an F3 of 27.17 Hz. If High Pass is set to 36 Hz a flatter frequency response will be realized, with an F3 of 36 Hz. Design based on JL's own HO wedge design which was too large for my daughter's trunk. This design allows mounting of amplifiers to the front of the box on either side of the woofer. e.g. 500/1 on the left and 300/4 on the right for the door and component speakers inside the car. There’s a cut sheet provided (separate model), use those parts for dimensions and angles. There are a few compound angles to cut, so a decent table saw (or a buddy with some woodworking skills) is a must. Not indicated in the model is the fact that the ports' edges will be 'rounded over' to reduce port turbulence. #10_inch #10 #10W6 #amplifier #audio #basket #car_audio #cone #JL_Audio #Mazda #Mazda_3 #speaker #sub #sub_box #sub_enclosure #subwoofer #subwoofer_box #subwoofer_enclosure #ten_inch #trunk #woofer
