This customizable spool generator is circumference centric so it's easy to calculate the amount of thread or wire on the spool. One turn can be calculated using the pythagorean theorem using the pitch and circumference as your length and height.
This way, using a stepper motor it will be easy to regulate the amount of thread or wire spent.
