Customizable Bins for Stanley's Removable Compartment Professional Organizer
Original work by Gustavo Ambrozio on January 25, 2015 ( https://www.thingiverse.com/gpambrozio )
This is a remix of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:652558
Remixed by Paul Hutchins in January 2021 ( https://www.thingiverse.com/paulhut )
--Please note--
If the Thingiverse Customizer is broken you will need OpenSCAD to customize this thing. See below for instructions.
Features added:
-Bins can be half height or one third height to allow for stacking
-Internal compartments can have rounded bottoms
-The feet can be at the edges, inset for stacking, or removed
-The edge radius can be removed. (When printing upside-down the radius did not look good.)
-Rows and / or columns of internal dividers can be removed to create a combination of small and large compartments in the same bin.
If the bins have many internal dividers then they can be printed upside-down with no support.
If the bins have large internal compartments then sagging may prevent printing this way.
Under Options you can choose to print the bin as one part or split it into base and upper sections.
The stl files included are just examples of what this customizable thing can produce. I highly encourage you to use the customizer or OpenSCAD to create your own designs.
The Thingiverse Customizer seems to be on the fritz quite often.
Download OpenSCAD for free from https://www.openscad.org/
Download the .scad file from the thing files.
Open the .scad file in OpenSCAD.
From here you can modify the parameters (right side bar).
Render the model and export as .stl and you have a printable part.
