Simple and quick customizable wall attachable tube holder for multiple purposes. Saw some similar designs out there but this thing is suitable for a customizer, I didn't find it here, so I made it. Just open it in the customizer app, enter your desired measures and print it !! You can even choose the # of holders in a row. Easy print, no support required, just use some brim. Recommended print in ABS as some physical deformation is required and PLA tends to crack much more than ABS. This thingies are hard to find for a given diameter and may be not any cheap. With your printer you can make a bunch of them for some cents, problem solved!! I love simple and functional things like this.
HINTS & tech details:
Remember that if the inner diameter were exactly the tube diameter it could slide down. Depending on your printer/slicer you could decrease the inner diameter 1mm or so. For example: You have a 30mm diameter tube, then you enter 29mm as diameter for the holder to achieve a better grip.
The angle is also an important parameter, as it measures the tube insertion/extraction strength needed. If you find hard to insert the tube try increasing the angle a bit. One more thing about the insertion: the more thicker the holder walls the less elastic will it be, requiring more insertion force. So, you can also decrease a bit the holder thickness to reduce it. The height parameter also controls the insertion force, as it is easier to insert a tube in a 10mm height holder than in a 50mm height one.
Not all materials have the same elastic properties. Default provided values should work well in most cases, otherwise do your own proofs.
Other materials than ABS could be used, like PET, PETG, Nylon. Even Semiflex (if you increase enough the thickness/height to reduce elasticity). Anyway the ideal material for this (and for almost anything) is Nylon, it's a pity for it to be so expensive...
That's all folks!!
UPDATE (21-SEP-2016): Minor changes to enhance renderings in the customizer app. POV render pic added.
UPDATE (22-JAN-2019): Fix for development versions of OpenSCAD. Workaround for function rotate_extrude().
