Custom Breadboard by sketchpunk

Building a prob but I want to keep things unsoldered so I can tweak it from time to time. The big issue is that the smallest breadboard I can get is still to big to fit in the prop. Found someone on thingiverse that shows that it's possible to create you're own breadboards.
So I modeled a custom breadboard for my project, printed it out, filled it with aluminum and it seems to do the job. The only issue is that you can't just keep plugging / unplugging the same spot since it wears out quickly and makes the connection pretty loose. Other then that, putting in aluminum is a pain.
I wish there was a way to easily make breadboard bits that can be interconnected to create any size or shape a project can use. In my head I can see how it works, the only big issue is printing out the plastic bits and have the right internals to make the connections reliable like real breadboards.
