This is first working version of curtain lifter, which benefits 5V stepper motor and 1:4 gearing. Draft micropython code for the ESP32 here https://github.com/divergentti/kanalanautomaatio/blob/master/esp32-hcr-04-steppermotor4curtain/main.py
Components:
ESP32-Wroom-32D or U
28BYJ-48 5V stepper motor
ULN2003 control board
DC to 5V LM2596 regulator
Level shifter 5V to 3.3V
Microswitch
625RS bearing (5x16x5)
All srews are ISO M3 with 5mm length maximum. Antenna hole and wiring holes are 6.5 mm.
Idea of the operation: once distance sensor HC-SR04 (look my other designs for the case) detects a chicken, inside or outside, curtain will be lifted up to the limiter and then released down.
