UPDATE 5/1: I tightened the tolerances on the bracket to allow glue-less install of the bracket magnet. Just push the magnet into the hole with a screwdriver or something similar. You will still need to use glue for the leg magnet.
I happened to have some cube shaped neodymium magnets lying around so I decided to update the plexiglass brackets to easily attach the magnets. These fit buckycubes or neocubes which are around 4-5mm. You must use super glue to attach the magnets to both the brackets and table foots. DO NOT use hot glue as the magnets are too strong to be held in place by it, I made that mistake and it was a pain cleaning up, you can still see some hot glue residue in my pictures.
Simply use a flat top screw driver or something that can hold the magnet in place, put a drop of glue on the opposite side then push it into the bracket and hold for 1-2 minutes. It is far easier to do this if you use the 2 magnets attached together already then put another drop on the attached magnet and hold it into the indent on the foot. It should line up perfectly in the circle indent.
After that you can use your preferred adhesive to attach the bracket to the plexiglass. Make sure to clear any dangling plastic from the gap in the bracket to securely fit it on the glass. I used 0.06" ploycarbonate.
