The Crown Macro-Tech 600 1200 2400 ... are formidable robust amplifiers, very solidly protected mechanically and electronically.
The only reproach I can give them is that after 25 years they need a little tightening of the screws and nuts and bolts a little bit everywhere, mainly the fan (did you ever notice that its double winding allows to create the +15 -15V power supply for the operational amplifiers...), the two big electrolytic capacitors and their associated rectifier bridges (take the opportunity to put the fresh thermal grease back underneath).
The disease of its amplifiers is the cold soldering on the two cards supporting relays and connectors, it is imperative to redo the soldering with a good old lead solder :)
On many of the amplifiers I have serviced, some had the main power cable starting to get damaged by rubbing against the support of the large electrolyte capacity. So I created a small part to hold the cable securely in place.
I used neoprene glue to fix the piece and the cable inside the piece.
