New improved V2 now available link below, (1st Feb 2018)https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2777687
Critical update on 06Nov17. See Part 2 below
Immediately i got the printer, I raised the platform so I can put the controller below it, and then the spool holder on top of the bridge(don't worry of the weight, frame is very rigid enough)
a. The cone lock, i printed with support, so it took some time to remove the support with twizzer, and you gotta make sure that it's not too loose otherwise you risk having the lock spinning together with the spool and locking it up. must have a bit of resistance. Let me know if there's any issue with the thread of the cone lock after printed.
b. The "Filament Feeder V3" guide is recommend to slot in the PTFE tube for smoothness. * you can print without support so there's no trouble of removing support from inside the tube
14Nov17 - added V3 which support the tube, adding strength
please redo levelling after installed
Mount the "Cylinder Spool Holder" to the "Spool Holder Bracket" with screws length as below
*** Screws required,
2x M4 short spare screw that came with printer (as pictured)
2x M4 spare stopper that came with printer (or purchase here https://go.edwardrc.com/2DS7EZZ)
2x M4 25cm(thread length) screw
2x M4 nut or lock nut
Part 2, after a month of using it, there were 2 occasion where the "Cone lock" rotates with the spool, causing lock up. So I've added "Cone lock stopper" and installation instruction as shown. IT'S A MUST
Screws needed
2x M3x8mm
1x M3x15mm
1x M3 lock nut
1x M3 25mm or as long as you have
