Crash Pad in Central Park

This is a mobile shelter unit placed in Central Park . The shelter is a container offering shelter from the elements while fitting into the park's panorama and offering all-round views. It is a compact shelter where one may spend the evening admiring the stars and the day admiring the greenery nestled inside the busy city. The capsule has an approximate diameter of 10 feet with a double glass structural skin, covered with a special gradient coating which could support solar panels. The overall look is modern and organic, with the external surface of the capsule reflecting the surrounding environment, de-materializing its appearance. The interior design creates a smooth and organic environment where one may relax and find new relations with nature. At the same time, the triangle pattern of the exterior envelope is found in the furniture, providing a consistent dialogue between the shelter elements.
